It is reported that Mozilla’s upcoming Firefox 12 which comes to the Aurora channel at the end of this month will bring the long waited tab feature and home tab, other features include apps and chat functions. The new tab page is similar to Chrome’s feature of the same name and the home tab builds off the new tab page popularized by Chrome and Opera.

The new tab grid also features you a 3-by-3 grid of your most-visited websites which made it easier to go to where you want to visit. With the addition of the tab feature and upcoming app integration, Firefox 12 will surely be something to look forward to. The home tab is a lot more exciting which will have so-called “launchers” for easy access. In addition, Firefox 12 will also bring URL autocompletion to the Firefox address bar.

However, the New Tab Page has been removed from the latest Nightly. It now rumored that at least the Home Tab, and possibly the New Tab Page will not come until Firefox 13.
